Playthrough calculator
A wagering requirement and the amount you have to stake to satisfy it are two different numbers whenever a game contributes less than 100%. This works out both.
Result
Enter a balance and a multiplier to see the requirement. Nothing is sent anywhere — the calculation runs entirely in your browser.
How this calculation works
This calculator turns a balance and a playthrough multiplier into two figures: the requirement as the operator counts it, and the amount you actually have to put through the game to generate it.
Those two numbers are identical only when every game you play counts in full. When a game contributes 50%, two coins must be staked for every one that counts; at 20%, five must. The requirement has not changed — the amount of play it takes has.
It also subtracts progress you have already made, so you can see what is left rather than what it was at the start.
What you need to enter
| Input | Unit | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Starting Sweeps Coins | SC | The balance the requirement is calculated from. |
| Playthrough multiplier | dimensionless | How many times the balance must be wagered. Enter 1 for a 1x requirement, or 0 if there is none. |
| Game contribution | percent | The share of each coin staked that counts toward the requirement. Enter 100 if every coin counts in full. |
| Wagering already credited | SC (credited) | Optional. The progress your account displays, in credited coins — not the raw total you have staked. Leave blank if you have not started. |
The formula
R = B × m
T = R ÷ c
R_remaining = max(0, R − W_credited)
T_remaining = R_remaining ÷ c
What each symbol means
| Symbol | Name | Unit | Definition |
|---|---|---|---|
B | Starting Sweeps Coins | SC | The Sweeps Coin balance the wagering requirement is calculated from. |
m | Playthrough multiplier | dimensionless | How many times the balance must be wagered before it can be redeemed. A 1x requirement means the balance must be staked once. |
c | Game contribution | fraction of 1 (entered as a percentage) | The share of each Sweeps Coin staked that counts toward the requirement. c = 1 means every coin staked counts in full; c = 0.2 means five coins must be staked for one to count. |
R | Required credited wagering | SC | The requirement as the operator counts it — the number the progress bar fills toward. |
T | Actual amount staked | SC | How much you must actually put through the game to generate R of credited wagering. When contribution is below 100%, T is larger than R. |
W_credited | Wagering already credited | SC | Progress the operator has already counted. This is the credited figure shown in your account, not the raw amount you have staked. |
Worked example
How much is left when the progress bar says 150
- You started with 40 SC on a 10x requirement, so the requirement is 40 × 10 = 400 SC of credited wagering.
- The game contributes 50%, so satisfying the whole requirement means staking 400 ÷ 0.5 = 800 SC.
- Your account shows 150 SC credited, leaving 400 − 150 = 250 SC of credit still to earn.
- Earning that 250 SC of credit means staking 250 ÷ 0.5 = 500 SC more.
Takeaway. A progress bar counts credited wagering, but your balance is spent in staked wagering. Below 100% contribution those are different numbers, and only one of them is the work left to do.
Assumptions
These conditions have to hold for the result to mean what it says. Where one does not apply to your situation, the figure will be wrong in a direction the calculator cannot know about.
- The multiplier applies to the balance B, which is how most sweepstakes wagering requirements are written. Some operators apply the multiplier to a purchase amount or to a bonus portion instead; check the operator’s terms.
- A single contribution rate c applies to all of the wagering. Mixing games with different contribution rates gives a different total.
- Wagering already credited is entered in credited units, matching the operator’s progress display.
Limitations
What this calculation cannot tell you:
- This method describes a requirement, not an outcome. It says how much must be staked, not whether the balance will last long enough to stake it.
- It does not model maximum-bet rules, excluded games, or time limits. Breaching any of those can void a requirement no matter what the arithmetic says.
Method and version
This page uses playthrough v1.0.0. Every figure it produces comes from that method at that version, and the worked examples are pinned to the same version — when a method changes in a way that moves a published number, the example is re-derived at the new version.
| Version | Date | Change |
|---|---|---|
1.0.0 | 2026-08-15 | First published version. |

A note on playing
This tool measures the size of a requirement. It is not a recommendation to clear one, and a large remaining figure is information to act on rather than a target to chase.
An expected value is an average over an enormous number of repetitions. It is not a prediction, a target, or a result you are owed. See responsible play.
