What the numbers on this site mean
Expected-balance and package-cost figures on this site are expected values: averages over an enormous number of repetitions. They are not forecasts, not targets, and not results anyone is owed. Playthrough requirements, prices, and simulated percentiles are not expectations. Roughly half of real sessions finish below an expected-value average, and on a high-volatility game most finish well below it while a few finish far above.
The house edge is the one part of the arrangement that is reliable. It means the expected value of every game described on this site is negative to the player. A calculation showing that one package is less expensive than another is comparing two costs, not identifying a profit.
Four things the mathematics rules out

With T held fixed, raising the stake does not change expected loss; it only changes how quickly results arrive and how widely they scatter. If a larger stake increases T, expected loss rises in proportion to that extra turnover, never reversing its direction. |
| “A 96% RTP means I get most of it back.” | It means about 96% of everything ever staked on that game, by everyone, is returned as prizes. Very little of it returns to the individual who staked it, and the distribution is deliberately lumpy. |
| “I can play through a loss.” | Continuing to play adds more turnover, and every coin of turnover carries the same edge. There is no amount of additional play that makes an expected loss smaller. |
Safety
On chasing losses
If you are here working out how to recover money you have already lost, the arithmetic on this site cannot help and is not meant to. Expected value does not turn positive with a larger stake, a longer session, a different game, or a better-timed package. The amount already lost does not change the odds of anything that happens next.
The tools here are for deciding whether an offer is worth taking before you take it. They are not a recovery method, and using them as one is the situation the helpline above exists for.
Practical limits
- Decide the amount before you start, treat it as the price of the entertainment, and stop there whether you are ahead or behind.
- Set deposit and session limits in the operator’s own account settings, where they are enforced rather than remembered.
- Use self-exclusion if limits are not holding. Every licensed operator offers it, and it is designed to be difficult to reverse on purpose.
- Do not gamble to make money. The edge makes that a losing proposition by construction, which is what every calculation on this site demonstrates.
- Watch for the warning signs: playing longer or for more than intended, hiding it, borrowing to play, or feeling you need to win it back.
Age and eligibility
Sweepstakes casinos set their own minimum age, commonly 18 or 21, and restrict eligibility by location. Those rules are the operator’s and are stated in its terms. This site does not cover which jurisdictions permit what, and nothing here should be read as saying that any particular product is available to you.
